Beginning Sight Word Sentences

Sight word sentences for a literacy center. Match picture cards with the appropriate sight word sentences. Practice sigh word sentences. 



Consonant Blends Game

Consonant Blends game for 1st grade. Each student gets a blends spinner. They take turns spinning and their job is to create a real word using their blend and a word ending from the game board. When they find one they cover it with a marker. Once boxes are covered, see what students has the most at the end of as many rounds as you chose. 

Read It, Type It, Write It

A fun way to learn your sight words. This is Read It, Type It, Write It.  You read the sight word from the cards, you can type it on a computer or the paper keyboard, and then you write the sight word on the paper. 

Building sight words on a cookie sheet


Building sight words on a cookie sheet, Great for centers. Cookie sheet activities included using sight words, blends, digraphs and word families. Use a paper with listed words and match the words with the correct magnet letters on your cookie sheet. 

Sight Word Sticker Book



Sight word sticker book-Students receive a sticker for each sight word they can read. The students will get 5 words a week to practice and learn. When they pass the words off they get a sticker added to their books.
